Cesar's Tower

On top of Aix-en-Provence, you can find an old and lonely tower erected in 1385. It's surrounded by typical mediterranean vegetation.

This place overlooks Aix-en-Provence city (you can see the TGV high-speed train line in the background) :

Again, you cannot park nearby. It's about 5 minutes walking. No engines, no noise. It's a very quiet place. Then you can go for a walk as the vast area around is forbidden to cars !

The Painter (Place d'Albertas)

If you've already been to Aix en Provence, you know this small square build in 1742 by George Vallon called La Place d'Albertas. The atmosphere is great - it is easy to imagine a carriage emerging from the rue Espariat or a lady of the Court appearing on the balcony of one of these splendid palaces. Can you imagine how surprised I was when I saw the painter you going to watch on my short video clip. Don't u think he seemed to come from 18th Century ?

The Aix en Provence Tourist Office gives links to hotels and rentals if you are looking for accomodation. Online reservation will also be found on this website, but i have never tried this service actually. I can't tell if it works properly or not :-) Never heard of the festival ? Have a look ! Aix-en-Provence is 25 minutes driving to the Airport. Anyway, if you want to come here for holidays or for good, email me, I'll see what I can do for you. And I did a lot so far.
